Sefton Music Service offer a broad range of opportunities for children and young people and comprehensive support, training and resources for primary, secondary and special schools.

Who are we?

About us

We strive to meet the ambition of the National Plan for Music Education. The aim of which is to enable all children and young people to learn to sing, play an instrument and create music together, and to have the opportunity to progress their musical interests and talents, including professionally. We provide tuition from beginner to an advanced level, allowing every child practical music making opportunities and a comprehensive range of instrumental options.

The Service works alongside highly regarded organisations and artists, many of whom are nationally and internationally acclaimed. These include: the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Halle, Merseyside Youth Association, Manchester Camerata, Yamaha, Ex Cathedra, Louis Dowdswell Big Band, National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain and the Royal Marines Band Service to name but a few.
