St Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Academy (formerly St Augustine of Canterbury Catholic High School) is a Roman Catholic coeducational secondary school. It is located in the Blackbrook area of St Helens. The school is named after Augustine of Canterbury, the first Archbishop of Canterbury. St Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Academy has approximately 600 pupils whose ages range from 11 to 16 and approximately 70 members of staff.
Stage 1 Delivery:
Between November 11th – February 7th we delivered 4 x 30minute DJ skills sessions each week working with 4 pupils across the 10-week period. The school were loaned a Macbook, running Rekordbox software, and a Pioneer DDJ 400 controller. The sessions were delivered online using the Zoom platform by DJ AMEB, DJ Tutor and presenter on, Liverpool-based, In Demand Radio.
Stage 2 Delivery:
The school requested delivery of 2 Studio Sound Recording workshops to introduce multitrack recording. They were also provided with the equipment required to carry out recording sessions in school.
