St John Plessington Academy is proud of its inclusive and supportive community, where students are encouraged to develop their talents and achieve their full potential. The school music department has a recording studio space which, during the consultation, was identified as a area in need of development.
In March 2023 the facility was organised and re-established. The live room and control room spaces were de-cluttered, acoustic panels re-attached to walls, connections were tested, leads and storage spaces were organised.
The studio spaced contained Imac computers which were also not in use. These machines have Logic 9 installed which, although being older software is still useable and effective for learning mixing and mastering skills.
