Following the initial consultation the school opted to take part in our online DJ Skills project.
Between September 2023 - February 2024 - 4 pupils from the school took part in online DJ tuition with DJ A me B. The school were loaned a Pioneer DDJ 400, Macbook and Headphones. Pupils attend a weekly 30 minute Zoom session and were encouraged to use the equipment between sessions to develop and share skills with classmates.
"The Dj Skills has been an outstanding project to be part of. We have been able to provide an access to music for a number of pupils who otherwise would not have done so. In one case in particular, one of our year10s has grown in confidence to such an extent that he has been able to assist with our transition work, demonstrating and sharing musical skills with younger people.
